In this track we try to set focus on the use of simulators as an aid in an educational context.

By this we mean to illuminate the use of theoretical/mathematical models in education, but also the design and application of physical installations like nautical and flight simulators for training.

This is a rapidly increasing field, both in academia and in industry. Due to the fact that science and technology today deals with the very small, the very large or
the very complex systems, model building has become an integrated part of these areas.

Both theoretical and physical models have become necessary tools in research and technological development. As a consequence, this reality has to be reflected in all of modern education by an extensive use of simulation.

The interface towards the human user is a central part of these simulators, and therefore visualization and the area of human factors will also have an important position here.
