Send all submissions in an electronic form uuencoded or MIME, Postscript indicating the designated track and a type of submission (full paper or an extended abstract) to both the General Chair (esm99@informatik.uni-bremen.de ) AND to the SCS European Office (info@scs-europe.org ). For the NGHSN'99 Workshop please send directly to Dr. Stefan Fischer, Stefan.Fischer@i-u.de ).
Please provide your name, affiliation, full mailing address,
telephone /fax number and Email address on all submissions as
well. For submissions please put in the subject of your Email the
following indications: esm99, code of designated track. You can
also send in one copy of your paper by regular mail to the
conference chair and three copies to
Philippe Geril at the SCS European Office. Only original
papers which have not been published elsewhere will be accepted.
PAPER SUBMISSION TYPES
FULL PAPER (including abstract, conclusions,
diagrams, references)
During review, the submitted full papers can be accepted as a
regular 5 page paper. If excellent, full papers can be accepted
by the program committee as an extended (8 pages) paper. Each
submission will be reviewed by at least three members of the
International Program Committee. All accepted papers based on a
full paper will be published in Vol.1 of the proceedings.
EXTENDED ABSTRACT (at least three pages)
Participants may also submit a 3 page extended abstract for a
regular (5 pages) or short (3 pages) paper or poster, which will
be reviewed by the International Program Committee. All papers
based on an accepted extended abstract will be published in Vol.2
of the proceedings. Vol.2 is also very well suited for industry
papers.

January 25, 1999 | Submit contributed full-papers (up to 8 proceedings pages) not previously published. These submissions, when accepted will be published as regular (of up to 8 proceeding pages) papers in Volume 1 of the proceedings. |
January 25, 1999 | Submit extended abstracts of contributed short papers, reports of industrial projects and summaries of posters. These submissions, when accepted will be published as short (of up to 5 proceedings pages) papers in Volume 2 of the proceedings. |

Only full time students are eligible to register as Student. Students may not be academics doing Ph.D..
Registration fees should preferably be paid in Belgian Francs or ECU's, but can also be paid in the equivalent amount of US$ and DM. Payment is also possible by Credit card (VISA/Mastercard, American Express, Diners). The registration fee includes one printed and one CD copy of the Conference Proceedings, free tutorial(s), coffee breaks, lunches and the conference dinner.
