The port city of Antwerp stands on the River Scheldt, Belgium's
longest river. Located 88 km up-river from the sea, Antwerp is also the largest town in
Flanders, the name for the Flemish-speaking part of Belgium. Antwerp is a bustling centre
of commerce, trade, and the arts with a population of 450,000. A fascinating stay awaits you in this pulsating centre of culture and trade. Antwerp is Rubens, Van Dyck, Jordaens, Bruegel, Plantijn, but also a thousand years of architecture, five centuries of music and artisticand decorative crafts. We have linked our Euromedia website to the Digital Metropolis Antwerp Website, as this website provides you with all possible information on Antwerp and how to get there, by train and car. The site also provides you with a digital map of the city so you can find your way around. This is also a useful site of the Antwerp Tourist Board. The Euromedia conference itself, is held in 3 rooms on the ground floor at Het ProvincieHuis Only a small number of parking spaces have been set aside for the conference, so please inform the office if you need a parking space. As parkingspaces are far and few between in the vicinity of the conference venue, we highlly recommend you use public transport to reach the conference. In front of het ProvincieHuis there is a tramstop of the tramline Nr.2 (Antwerp Left Bank - Central Station - Hoboken) You can also park your car on the Desguinlei, which is about a 15 min walk away from Het ProvncieHuis , or you can take tram Nr.2 in the vicinity of the Singel Cultural Centre, which stops in front of het provincieHuis.
