SCIENTIFIC PROGRAMME
The First Middle East Workshop on Simulation and Modeling is the first SCS international conference concerned with state of the art technology in modelling and simulation in the Middle East. The aim of this SCS workshop is to set up an SCS chapter in the Middle East. and to stimulate the use of simulation in this area. The workshop features an outstanding technical program ranging from introductory tutorials to software reviews to state-of-the-art research and practice. The conference includes exhibits, business meetings for professional societies, and a social program.

If you plan to a give state-of-the-art review or to organize a panel discussion, then please contact the European Simulation Office.
OUTSTANDING PAPER AWARD
The 1999 MESM Committee will select among the extended papers, the Outstanding Paper of the Conference. The author of this paper will be awarded a free registration for an SCS conference, and will be published on the SCS web site. Only extended papers will be eligible for the Outstanding Paper Award.
LANGUAGE
The official conference and the language of accepted papers will be English.
ORGANIZED MEETINGS
User Group meetings for simulation languages and tools can be organized on Monday the 1st of March. If you would like to arrange a meeting, please contact the Conference Chairs. We will be happy to provide a meeting room and other necessary equipment.

VENDOR SESSIONS, DEMONSTRATIONS AND VIDEO PRESENTATIONS
For demonstrations or video sessions, please contact SCS International at the European Office. Special sessions well be set up for vendor presentations in coordination with the scientific programme.
