Eugene J.H. Kerckhoffs, our Historian for many many years by now, was one of the first scientists who experienced the “birth” of this conference series in 1987.

At the 30th ECMS Jubilee conference
in Regensburg, Germany in 2016,
several awards have been given to our most active members.
At the conference dinner in Budapest, 2017, Eugene J.H. Kerckhoffs was appointed “Officer in the Order of Orange-Nassau”, by his Majesty the King of the Netherlands.
