VENUE AND TRAVEL INFORMATION

Erlangen is a city with 100.000 inhabitants 10 miles away from Nuremberg. Erlangen hosts the SIEMENS Research Center and a well known university with ca. 36.000 students. The Symposium will be held in the buildings of the technical faculty on the premises of the university, in the neighborhood of the city. The International airport of Nuremberg is only 6 miles away from the center of Erlangen.

 

HOW TO GET THERE

by plane: Nuremberg Airport lies just in between Nuremberg and Erlangen. You can take a taxi into Erlangen. Distance 13 Km. Fare should be about 25DM.

by train: There are frequent connections between Nuremberg and Erlangen. The station is located in the centre of town

by car: Driving on the autobahn A9 Frankfurt-Munich, leave the autobahn at the exit Tennenlohe. Follow the signs into Erlangen-Centrum, follow the signs to the Technische Fakultaet.

by bus: Take bus 287 and 293 which run between the City centre and the University (Technische Fakultaet)

 


CONFERENCE SITE

The Conference takes place at the Technical Faculty, Sudgelände, Conference Center, Erwin Rommel Strasse 60 of The Friedrich Alexander University.

LOCATION AND REGISTRATION

The parallel sessions will be held in rooms H10, K1 and K2. The registration desk will be placed in the hallway close to these lecture rooms. Registration will start on Sunday, April 26, at 4.00 p.m. in the university Schloss and from Monday onwards from 9.00 a.m. - 5.00 p.m. every day with Wednesday registration only at 9.00 a.m.
