Conference Location

The conference is located at Dedeman Hotel, Istanbul.
Address: Yildiz Posta Cad. 50, Esentepe, Istanbul.

There are 6 session rooms, a Ball Room for keynotes and plenaries and an exhibition hall to be used in the activities. Lunch will be served at the hotel restaurant.

Badges

Badges will be included in the pack that will be handed out at the Registration desk. The badge must be worn in order to be admitted to the tutorials, parallel sessions, lunches, cocktail and social events.

Registration

The ESM’97 Registration Desk will be open for information and registration in front of the Ball Room. There will be a Hospitality Desk in the Lobby during the conference.

Conference Proceedings

Each registrant will be provided with two volumes of proceedings including Conference Proceedings and Short Paper Proceedings. Extra copies, as well as Proceedings of other SCS Conferences, are available on a cash and carry basis at special rates during ESM’97.

Tickets

Each paid registrant will receive a string of tickets which must be handed in for coffee and lunches and at the conference banquet. Extra tickets for the social event and lunches are available from the registration desk.

Piano Recital

A piano recital will be given by Idil Olcay Ulgen on Sunday, June-1, 17:30-18:30 at the Albert Long Hall of Bogazici University, just before the Welcome Cocktail. Shuttle busses will depart from Hotel Dedeman to Bogazici University at 17:00.

Welcome Cocktail

All registrants are invited to the conference cocktail to be held on Sunday, June-1, 19:00-20:30, at Kennedy Lodge of Bogazici University. The cocktail will be hosted by the Rector of Bogazici University.

Conference Banquet

All registrants are invited to the Conference Banquet to be held on Monday, June-2, 19:30-22:00 at the Bogazici University Alumni Club.

Short City Tours

There will be a short sight seeing and shopping tour on Wednesday, June 4. The tour will start at 16:00.

Lunches

Lunches on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, June 2-4 are included in the registration fee. The lunches are served at Pinar Restaurant.

You can register for the optional social events at the Registration Desk. These events are not covered by the standard conference registration fee.

City Tours

There will be several half-day, full-day and night city tours. The details will be available in the hospitality desk.

Boat Cruise

There will be a boat tour on the Bosphorus on Tuesday, June 3 evening from 19:00 to 23:00. Dinner will be served during the cruise
