OTOSAN

In 1928, Vehbi Koc entered the automotive sector as a distributor of Ford Company and in 1959, OTOSAN A.S. started production in Turkey. According to an agreement in 1984, 30% of the total shares of Otosan was given to Ford Company and nowadays it is planned to share equally between two companies after distributing 15% to other shareholders.

With almost 3000 personnel, Otosan is the leader in automotive sector that deals with production, marketing and maintenance services of Ford automobiles and vehicles. Besides having the largest variety of products in its area, in 1996 Otosan was the third in profitability and paid the highest tax which is an evidence of the technological and commercial successes of Otosan.

 

EVANS & SUTHERLAND

A leader in the company graphics field since 1968, Evans and Sutherland develops and manufactures hardware and software for highly realistic visual systems that produce vivid 3D graphics and synthetic environments. Evans & Sutherland’s product offerings include a full range of high performance visual systems for simulation, training and virtual reality applications, as well as graphic accelerator products for workstations and personal computers.

Evans & Sutherland provides a broad line of visual system products and related services for use in simulators and trainers for military, commercial and entertainment applications. E & S’s visual systems create dynamic, high quality, out-the-window scenes that represent the view vehicle operators see when performing tasks under actual operating conditions. The company’s visual systems are an integral part of full mission simulators, which incorporate a number of other components, including cockpits and vehicle cabs and large hydraulic motion systems.

Evans & Sutherland’s visual systems are made up of image generators, synthetic environments and display systems. In addition to hardware and software, E & S also offers image database development and development tools, integration, installation and support services. E & S newest products- Harmony image generators, integrator NT modeling and rendering software tools- are based on its universal 3D architecture.

 

HAVELSAN

HAVELSAN is established: mainly to provide depot level maintenance and repair services for the electronics systems and equipment used by Turkish Armed Forces.

The targets of HAVELSAN are: to become a Countrywise Centre in the field of maintenance, repair, and operation based projects as well as in the software projects, and in the later phases to provide foreign currency income in return to the services given to the third countries.

General approaches of the Company are: to pull down the foreign dependence and the funds transferred out of the country, to provide technology transfer in the most economical conditions and at the highest level.

HAVELSAN’s Quality Policy: to define quality according to the customer demands and expectations and to meet customer demands exactly in accordance with the specified requirements and the standards. Quality is the result of everybody’s efforts working at all the levels of HAVELSAN, quality and productivity are continually improved.

infoTRON

infoTRON is a privately owned Turkish company and is established in 1994 with its headquarters in Istanbul, Turkey. infoTRON works in the fields of Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing, Rapid Prototyping, Visual Simulation, Virtual Reality and also provides turn-key solutions within the general CAD/CAM field. Founders of infoTRON has many years of experience within the above-mentioned target sectors as well as in the field of business administration. There are five partners and fifteen experienced engineers within operation, not counting the administrative and secreterial staff. infoTRON is an Authorized Value Added Reseller and an Authorized Service Provider of Silicon Graphics Inc. infoTRON is also the Turkish distributor of various software companies like Alias/Wavefront for industrial design and animation, Varimetrix for mechanical design automation, AC Technology Inc.'s C-MOLD for plastic mold analysis, Stratasys Fused Deposition Modeling rapid prototyping systems, Deneb Robotics for robotics and virtual prototyping applications and Paradigm Simulation, Multigen and Virtual Prototypes for visual simulation and virtual reality.

Regarding our service bureau business, we are proud of being one of the leading expert teams in 3D modeling and design and we are unique in Turkey having the most experienced organization with various high-end CAD/CAM and industrial design software. Currently, we use Alias/Wavefront, EDS/Unigraphics, Varimetrix, Pro/Engineer and Catia. Other than that, soon we will be using our own Stratasys FDM 2000 rapid prototyping system and we will be the first company in Turkey which will give rapid prototyping services. infoTRON has already invested to the necessary hardware and software equipment in order to give the best solutions to the customers. Currently, we do have Silicon Graphics Indigo2 Impact and Extreme Graphics workstations, in addition to Indy, O2 and Octane workstations networked with various high-end PCs.

Our current customer profile covers a wide range including manufacturing companies, telecom companies, engineering firms, universities, aerospace industry and the Turkish Military. As infoTRON, we do believe that understanding the customers' complex requirements, with our in-depth knowledge in related fields and with the combination of excellent products, will give us a very good opportunity to achieve our ambitious goal in our sector.

 

SETA ENGINEERING

SETA Engineering is the largest material group in Turkey giving her customers professional service and support in every aspect of material handling. Our services include consulting, project design and management, manufacturing and assembly of material handling systems. Simulation techniques have been used extensively to validate big projects and provide consulting to the customers. Started 1995, SETA is acting as the distributor of F & H Simulations and responsible for all activities including sales, training and after sales technical service of the simulation packages TAYLOR II and TIME MACHINE.

 

UYTES

UYTES - Applied High Technology Systems, has been established in 1991 with its head office at Ankara, Turkey. The company has been specializing in the distribution, support, training and consulting services of leading-edge software products in the fields of statistics, simulation, mathematical and statistical libraries, visual data analysis, statistical process control, decision support, mathematical programming and artificial intelligence and expert systems.
