Social Events
A Welcome Party will be organized in the conference registration area.
On Friday evening there will be a Dinner Party.
The University of Genoa will also organize
a visit to the new campus laboratories
in Savona.
Tourist Features
A hospitality table will be set-up in the conference registration area;
it will have information about Genoa Monuments
and Attractions, Riviera Tours (Portofino, Sanremo etc) and tour
operator services.
Anyone wishing to sigh-see will find helpful materials there.
Furthermore, you can make the most of your stay by visting
the famous Genoa Aquarium and
taking guided tours to marvellous Portofino,
Camogli, Nervi , Rapallo
and Sanremo best known as the pearls of the "Riviera dei Fiori"
making your journey an unforgettable one.
Conference Desk
Registration for ESS96 will begin in the afternoon on Wednesday the 23rd
of October. It will continue daily, from 8:00am until 6:00pm at the
Conference Registration Desk, which will be located in the Sheraton
Hotel hall.
Proceedings
A copy of the Proceedings will be provided to each ESS96 attendee
(except those registered as Full-Time Student Attendees).
Best Paper Award
The Genoa 1996 European Simulation Symposium & Exhibition
will award the best paper of the ESS'96. The international Program
Committee (IPC) will nominate the best papers in each track.
These papers will be judged according to their quality,
their presentation and the response to questions; the IPC will
then award the overall best paper.
The presentation of the best paper award will be held at the
closing session.
SCS Blue Sky Meeting
For the European SCS members there will be an SCS Blue Sky Meeting
on Thursday from 5:30pm to 6:30pm.
This meeting is also open to all other participants who are
interested.
