Topic:

The Simulation of Humans in Virtual Reality

Today it is possible to simulate virtual humans. But how far can we simulate them in an automatic way without hard manual intervention? We need more and more comprehensive simulation tools that recreate the real functionning of humans. In the presentation, different aspects of simulation of humans will be shown: the simulation of facial expressions, the simulation of clothing, the simulation of aging. All that allows to understand problems that are difficult to evaluate if we cannot try them before they are built. We have to produce virtual prototypes that can be evaluated, tested and if satisfied manufactured.
