DEADLINES AND REQUIREMENTS

Submissions

For this scientific conference, it is possible to send in full papers that will be published in the proceedings, short papers or poster presentations, product or vendor presentations, and proposals for panel discussions. The refereeing process for the scientific presentations will be based on full papers only. Full papers are due to arrive BEFORE SEPTEMBER 12, 1996 at:

in printed form (four copies) or via E-mail (uuencoded, zipped or binhexed in Word, WordPerfect, or LaTeX format). Only original papers, written in English, which have not previously been published elsewhere will be accepted. Each paper will be reviewed by at least three members of the International Program Committee. The length of the full paper should be about 12 typed pages, resulting in 6 two-column 10 point pages for the published paper in the proceedings.

If you are not sure whether your paper will fit into the conference, you can send in an abstract of your paper to the European Simulation Office. The Office will make sure your paper gets to the chairman of the appropriate conference. You will receive an answer whether it is advisable to send in a submission within one week. In case of sending in an abstract, please state your e-mail and fax number to speed up communication.

Other submissions

Please send in the other types of submissions (short paper, product presentation, and panel) to the European Simulation Office.

Refereeing and Camera-ready papers

The notification of acceptance or rejection, in combination with suggestions to improve the paper, will be sent by OCTOBER 4, 1996. Along with the notification of acceptance, an author kit with complete instructions for preparing a camera-ready copy for the Proceedings will be sent to authors of accepted abstracts or drafts . The camera-ready copy of the papers (and electronic versions of the paper in Word 6.0 (for Windows), WordPerfect or LaTeX ) must be in by NOVEMBER 8, 1996. In order to guarantee a high-quality conference, the camera ready papers will be checked as well, to check see the suggestions of the program committee have been incorporated.

Registration

Authors are expected to register early (at a reduced fee) and to attend the conference at their own expense to present the accepted papers. Without early registration and payment, the paper will not be published in the Conference Proceedings.

Language

The official conference language and the language of the accepted papers will be English.

Registration fees should preferably be paid in Belgian Francs or ECUs, but can also be paid in the equivalent amount of US$, British Pounds, DM or FF. Payment is possible by Creditcard (Visa/Mastercard, American Express, Diners). The registration fee includes one copy of the Conference Proceedings, coffee and tea during the breaks, all lunches, a welcome cocktail and the conference dinner.
